LB1022 was passed by the Nebraska State Legislature and that means the human relations training is no longer a requirement for a substitute teaching permit! Current requirements for a local substitute teaching permit are: application/fee, fingerprints (if applicable), and at least 48 semester credit hours. The NDE is working on updating the site, but you can click this link for more information on substitute teacher certificates:
