Tomorrow is picture retakes at the high school. If you were absent for the first day, please plan to have your picture taken tomorrow.

Congratulations to Hailey Smalley and Payvn Terry for qualifying for the Class B State Girls Golf Tournament! Hailey placed 9th in yesterday's district tournament at Beatrice Country Club, while Payvn qualified through her season differential. Congrats, ladies!

Our Sophomores will be taking part in a career exploratory program called Connect the Dots on Wednesday, October 7th. Students should not need to bring anything. We will feed the student's on Wednesday; so they will not have an open campus on that day.

McCook High School Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up. Please come see your student's teachers either on Wednesday, October 7th from 4:00-8:00pm; or Friday, October 9th from 8:00 am until noon. You do not have to schedule a time, but please sign in at the office when you get here. We look forward to seeing you!

We are excited to have the Guard with us tonight! They brought the cannon with them.

It is Homecoming week at McCook High School. We will host our annual pep rally at the intersection of Norris and C on Wednesday, September 9th starting around 1:15. The public is welcome to attend the event. We will also crown this years royalty after the football game at Weiland Field on Friday night. We hope to see everyone at our games this week supporting our students. Go Bison!

The Senior High will host the annual open house this evening from 6:00-7:00pm. Parents and students are welcome to come and visit with the teachers about what they will be covering in class this year. Please sign in at the office at some point during your visit tonight.

We had a great first day with the Class of 2030. Tomorrow we are excited to welcome all high school students back to the building. Tomorrow is also picture day for all high school students and staff. We are looking forward to seeing everyone then!

Due to inclement weather, the McCook Youth Football Camp is pushing back to 11:30-1:00 pm. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!!

We will have a short informational meeting for junior parents on May 13th, at 5:30 pm in the High School Auditorium. Our counseling department will talk about the college process, scholarships, and FAFSA and how we will help students through that next year. Parents of our current junior students are encouraged to attend.

McCook High School Students will be participating in a community service activity on Friday afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30. Students are asked to wear pants and closed toe shoes. Gloves will be provided, but if students have their own they are encouraged to bring them.

Congratulations to our MHS quiz bowl team for winning the ESU 15 quiz bowl and qualifying for state.

MHS Senior, Jonathon Strohm, won first place for McCook at the SWC Arts Festival in Ogallala on Saturday for his drawing “Exposure.” Congratulations!!

Tuesday, March 24
- Juniors: Report at 8:00 AM for the ACT Test
- Seniors: Report at 8:00 AM for the Senior Tour
- No School for Freshmen and Sophomores

Wednesday, March 25
- Freshmen & Sophomores: Report at 8:00 AM for the Pre-ACT Test
- No School for Juniors and Seniors
