We will have a short informational meeting for junior parents on May 13th, at 5:30 pm in the High School Auditorium. Our counseling department will talk about the college process, scholarships, and FAFSA and how we will help students through that next year. Parents of our current junior students are encouraged to attend.

McCook High School Students will be participating in a community service activity on Friday afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30. Students are asked to wear pants and closed toe shoes. Gloves will be provided, but if students have their own they are encouraged to bring them.

Congratulations to our MHS quiz bowl team for winning the ESU 15 quiz bowl and qualifying for state.

MHS Senior, Jonathon Strohm, won first place for McCook at the SWC Arts Festival in Ogallala on Saturday for his drawing “Exposure.” Congratulations!!

📅 McCook Senior High Weekly Schedule Update

This week, our students will have the opportunity to showcase their hard work by taking the ACT and Pre-ACT Tests!

Tuesday, March 24
- Juniors: Report at 8:00 AM for the ACT Test
- Seniors: Report at 8:00 AM for the Senior Tour
- No School for Freshmen and Sophomores

Wednesday, March 25
- Freshmen & Sophomores: Report at 8:00 AM for the Pre-ACT Test
- No School for Juniors and Seniors

👉 Reminder: Juniors, please bring your Chromebook fully charged for the ACT Test.

Current Sophomores and Freshmen will take the Pre-ACT test at school on Wednesday, March 25th starting at 8:00 am. Juniors and Seniors are will not report to school on this day. Students typically finish the test shortly after noon, and will be dismissed after they have completed the test. Busses will run their normal schedule, and lunch will be available at the Junior High Cafeteria starting at 12:45. Students should bring a calculator, but everything else will be provided.

Juniors will be completing the non-test portions of the ACT on Tuesday, March 17th at 8:00 in the morning at the high school. In order for this to happen we need every classroom and staff member for the event. So juniors will report at 8:00 tomorrow, while freshmen, sophomores and seniors will have a 10:00 late start. Busses will run their normal schedules. If you have any questions please contact the high school.

McCook High School will be hosting Spring Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday March 4th, from 4:00-7:00 pm and Thursday, March 5th from 8:00 am to 12:00pm. We look forward to seeing you then, please sign in at the High School Office when you arrive.
