6th Grade Awards Day

🚓👮♂️ Our 8th Graders had an eye-opening experience today thanks to the McCook Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol!
Officers led an impaired driving course designed to show the dangers of driving under the influence and the impact of distracted driving. With hands-on activities and powerful demonstrations, students saw firsthand how risky decisions can have serious consequences.
We’re thankful for this important lesson in safety and responsibility—and for the community members who help prepare our students for the future. 🚗🛑

🧭👣 Our 6th Graders hit the streets of McCook yesterday for the Heritage Walking Tour!
They explored historic sites, learned about our community’s rich past, and got a firsthand look at the stories that helped shape McCook. A big thank you to all who helped make this educational adventure possible!

Sixth grade student council members served as ambassadors for Sneak Peak Day. Fifth graders from Central Elementary take a tour of the Junior High, getting ready for their sixth grade year.

🏃♂️🎉 6th Grade Track & Field Day! 🎉🏃♀️
Today our 6th graders had an amazing time at their Track and Field Day!
We want to thank Deveny Ford, Deveny Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, MNB Bank, Heartland New Holland, and Hoehner Rentals for sponsoring t-shirts for the meet. Your support helped make this day extra special for our students!
We truly appreciate your generosity and commitment to our school community! 💙

🚀 Our 8th graders had an exciting day at North Platte Community College for a vocational tour!
They explored a variety of trade careers and got hands-on insight into opportunities in fields like welding, automotive, construction, and more. This was a great chance for them to start thinking about their futures and the many paths available after high school!
A big thank you to NPCC for hosting our students and giving them a glimpse into the world of skilled trades. 🔧🔨🔩
