2025/2026 ORIENTATION FOR NEW JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS
McCook Junior High School will hold an orientation program for students who will be attending Junior High for the first time in the fall of 2025.
Wednesday, August 6 9:00 a.m. – All 6th graders with last names A through E
Wednesday, August 6 10:30 a.m. – All 6th graders with last names F through N
Wednesday, August 6 1:00 p.m. – All 6th graders with last names O through Z
Wednesday, August 6 2:30 p.m. – All 7th & 8th graders NEW TO THE DISTRICT
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend with their students. Sessions will be held in the junior high cafeteria. Please enter the building through the cafeteria doors. The student handbook will be reviewed briefly, and students will receive their class schedules and locker assignments. Each session will conclude with students walking their schedules and trying their locker combinations. The choir and band rooms will be unavailable. Once students are comfortable with the school, you are free to go.
All students entering McCook Junior High for the first time should attend the orientation to make the transition from their previous school as easy as possible.
Students who have not enrolled for the 2025-2026 school term are encouraged to do so right away.
