She is in her 14th year of teaching at that school district. Lauren is married to Micah King, they have two boys Mason and Ian and a daughter Ella, and they live in Kearney, Nebraska. Lauren is in her fourth year at Shelton Public Schools where she teaches 4th grade. She coaches junior high track and field. Micah works for the City of Kearney. Eric is teaching 6th grade at Broken Bow public schools. He is currently coaching football, basketball, track and opening the weight room. At McCook I Coach on the Varsity track team where I coach the pole vaulters, I am also the Freshmen football head coach. I am an avid waterfowl hunter, from mid October through January you will find me in the duck blind or goose pit with my son Eric and our Labrador Retrievers Thor and Drake. My favorite words to hear in the fall and winter are "take em." In the spring and summer you will find me in my boat fishing many of the lakes in Southwest Nebraska. I have a love/hate relationship with the Chicago Cubs (more love now that they finally won a championship) and enjoy reading and working on computers. .
