McCook High School uses the 4.0 grading system to compute class rank. Students with 4.0 GPA's will be considered number one in their class. Those with less than 4.0 will be rank order starting with number two. Class rank issued after four complete semesters.

To calculate your GPA, you would use the following steps:

1.     Assign a value for the grade you receive in each class by the previous point values,

2.     Then multiply the points for each class by the number of credits you earned for that class.

3.     Add up all the points calculated for each class,

4.     Add up the number of credits that you attempted.

5.     Divide the number you calculate for step #3 by the number you calculate for step #4

The McCook Junior/Senior High will use the following grading scale:

A
94% - 100%
4.0
B
87% - 93%
3.0
C
78% - 86%
